This was the first wolf shifter I've read in a while and it was okay. Caden and Avery were always close growing up until the fatal day when her dad challenged Caden's. Avery and her sisters were banished to a remote cabin at the edge of the compound and were completely ignored for 7 years. Avery was forced to take care of her sisters and survive as a forager, which I respected her for.
I usually eat up when there's grappling and someone having to crawl back to win over someone, but this book dragged on for a while. I was pretty bored by the end of the book. I did enjoy the fighting scenes, but overall, it was an okay book. I hope the second one is about Liam... he's the one I was most interested in!
