Abandoned in Death by J.D. Robb
4.0
This book didn't make me as frustratingly angry as the last few. Yes, the entire gang was mostly involved, but it wasn't like they were all privet jet flown to another country to bag a murder like it wasn't an International Incident. And thankfully Eve wasn't the victim stand in like she's been for the last bunch. So it was a decent murder mystery without *all* of the annoying tropes that have plagued the last few books. A lot were still there, but the Over The Top World's Best Cop wasn't as heavy-handed.
I'd like a book that didn't have to cameo every single character again though. We know there are more books coming, so maybe leave some of the people out each time.
And I noticed the casual mention of having 3rd wedding anniversary approaching, so I'm going to guess the next book, if not the one after that (time moves SLOWLY through 54 books) will have some sort of focus on this.
