Pageboy by Elliot Page
4.0
i really liked this book, but, as other reviewers mentioned, the timeline switches were sometimes hard to keep track of.
with that being said, i really enjoyed page's perspective and i *especially* enjoy listening to audiobooks narrated by their authors because it adds an extra layer of depth and emotionality to the piece. page's narration was calm and collected, but the hints of emotion that pushed through at key moments was impossible to miss and very appreciated. i imagine it's a very raw and self-reflective experience to narrate your own book and i love that we as readers and listeners get to be a part of that journey.
