This book was advised by Neil Gaiman in a talk at the British Library, and it has become one of my favourite fantasy books. It is fantastic in the truest form fantasy stories can take.

I've read many Fairy stories, mostly Young Adult, all published in the last decade, but all were Fairy stories in name only. They might have had Fae as characters, but there was no strangeness, fantastical, mysterious, or twisted aspect to these stories.

'Lud-in-the-Mist' had all this and so much more! It's not our typical fantasy stories, or Fairy story, but it has every ingredient to make it a gem ✨️
