Visions of Flesh and Blood: A Blood and Ash/Flesh and Fire Compendium by Jennifer L. Armentrout
5.0
This book really is the Blood and Ash, and Flesh and Fire world bible. It contains everything that you need to know from both of these series. Each character has their own section that tells their features, personalities, habits, mannerisms, background, and what their part in these stories has been. It’s basically everything you need in one handy guide.
While this is a compendium of both worlds so it may feel like it’s just a rehash of information, I can absolutely say that reading this formed connections for me that I just didn’t see before. Along with that we also get extra scenes that we get only in this book, gorgeous artwork, and a hilarious interview Kieran. And of course it wouldn’t be complete if we didn’t get some of Miss Willa’s famous diary entries.
This book is exactly what you need if you’re like me and tend to forget some (alright, most) things between books in a series if you’re not reading them all back to back. I will definitely be referring back to this as I’m reading if I need to look up a character that I’ve forgotten. Oh and did I mentioned the artwork already right? The ABSOLUTELY GORGEOUS artwork that I was in awe of? Yep, I’ll definitely be going back to look at that artwork as I’m reading too.
