"The rat, it turns out, was not actually a rat. In more ways than one.
The girl, you may have discovered, was not actually a girl. She was seven ways a woman, regardless of her age."

I
LOVED
THIS
BOOK

Finally some good fucking fantasy! Sci-Fi-ish would be more accurate but the worldbuilding felt magical all the same! It had such a wonderful grown up fairytale feeling, it was funny, well written, the hints to the other Cosmere worlds were amazing, the characters were interesting!

Half way through the book I thought that Huck might actually be Charlie, simply because why have a love story if the love interest *isn't* here and I SCREAMED in pure elated joy, feet kicking the air, the kind that only books can give you, when it turned out I was RIGHT!

Tress was an amazing main character, so inspiring, sweet, and brave! And the love Charlie and Tress have for each other was adorable!

I haven't read that many books from Brandon Sanderson but so far, this is my favourite one! 😁
