Hilarious how they went with three completely different people for the cover.

This one? Kidnapping, torture, escape, a little soccer football, plenty of sex, some fighting and a hysterectomy.

Still wish the characters had been given more dimension: Rafe and his grandfather, Mattie and her mom, Jordan with his parents and half-brother... there was so much to explore there, so much potential to give the characters depth, nuance and layers, but it was wasted.

Alex faded into the background.

Ant the ending, for me, felt like a huge cop out:

forcing Violet to lose her uterus was taking the easy way out as to not to have to come up with a way to explain how a single woman could possibly become Queen and mother to the heirs of two of the most powerful kingdoms of the world—pretty much the same reason this could never have worked out as RH.

I would have liked this trilogy to have stronger plots, with more deeply explored characters and themes and with the high school vibes turned way, way, way lower.
