A masterwork. While I think I do prefer Black Hole, the finesse, mastery and control over the comics page is really impressive. Burns shows off his talents as a cartoonist and story teller with this book.

The story is way more abstract and surreal than Black Hole which definitely has its moments, but I think it wraps up nicely. A lot of the metaphors and symbols throughout really make sense after finishing the story. I’m very curious on how this would improve the experience of a reread.
