Holy Moses! What a suspenseful read! Majority of the book, my heart was in my throat and I just had no idea which way everything would go!

Paisley is a Biology Major working long hours in a lab and dealing mostly with forensics and death. Normally, she stays on for extra shifts, or retreats home to a crazy night of Netflix and ice cream. When she decides to attend her office holiday party, everything changes. She meets Simon in a hotel bar, and things go well.. Too well. Their chemistry is off the charts, and after a one night stand, Paisley is all but on cloud nine.

It's not until she's back at work that all Hell breaks loose. "Simon" shows up, and causes nothing but death and destruction, and takes Paisley as his hostage.

A trained assassin, and living without emotion, Six now controls Paisley's life. She has information regarding a body in her morgue that he desperately needs. His plan is to get that information, and do away with her next. His job isn't over until she's dead. That's the rule.

Days turn into weeks and weeks turn into months. Call me twisted, but the longer she stayed alive, the more I loved the two of them and just wanted them to be together. Six is impossible, but Paisley is sarcastic and stubborn and knows how to push all of his buttons. She doesn't seem to care that he can take her out at any given time.

Absolute thrill-ride from beginning to end. I could not get enough of this story or what might become of these two. Even if reading it took a few years off my own life with anxiety, I turned the pages like my own life depended on it. The end, especially. Holy cow, blew me away!
