Oh my God. This, this, this.

Starting this book, I had felt the somber cloud settling on top of my head. Everything felt tense and sad and I wasn’t in the mood. I put it down for a few weeks, until I have decided to finally finish this book. Here’s what you need to know:

The writing is sO sentimental and achingly heavy with emotions. It’s almost like poetry, but not quite. It really carried out the plot so beautifully. I’m so amazed. I wish I could write this beautifully.

Anything that has to do with deaths or lost family members always gets to me. Of course, this book had my face dripping with tears at 9 in the morning. I’m so in love, though. It was really pure even when everything else wasn’t.

The way the author had connected the actual plot with Jane Eyre had me in awe. SERIOUSLY. SO. GOOD. There were even analyzations of Frida Kahlo’s painting, “Two Fridas”. Instantly a favorite.

If you’re in the mood for something heavy and sad, go for this book. It’s short and sweet and beautiful and tear jerking.
