The Customs Of The Kingdoms Of India by Marco Polo
challenging
slow-paced
2.75
My 12th book finished in 2023.
It's interesting to note that this was written by someone else, and Marco Polo was dictating to him from a prison cell. That explains the way it's written, in a very direct and personal way. However, this doesn't make it any less annoying; you feel like someone is just monologuing at you.
It's very dry and hard to follow in places. Having no knowledge of the places and people it's talking about, it's very hard to make distinctions. These are just words and names, they mean nothing to me. I found it hard to take interest in it.
