Important and well told historical fiction - just not a super high rating from me due to my personal tastes! I am not a huge historical fiction reader and I do struggle with stories told from the POV of a children. In this case, I fully understand the reasons for this point of view and I think it was very well accomplished. I am still very glad I read this - I learned so much.
