Oh my Lucifer, I flew through this book in under 24 hours, had I not started it in the evening I’m pretty sure I would have read it in one setting. This was not at all what I was expecting and I absolutely loved it!
Our FMC Vespar has left her highly religious family who all live in a rural town devoted to their religion, you start off the book thinking this religion is going to be along the lines Christianity or Mormonism, until Vespar gets and invite to her cousin and ex boyfriends wedding, she vowed she would never go back but she finds this invitation too tempting to resist. Then you hear the lwords “Hail Satan” and everything you thought changes.
I really don’t want to say too much more than that as I think this book is best read with the smallest amount of information so the plot and twists don’t get ruined.
This book was incredible, full of occult and lore, twists and turns and so much unexpected! I loved the atmosphere and the setting, Rachel’s writing is really engaging and pulls you right into the world you’re reading, I now need to pick up everything else written by her!
If you’ve been contemplating this book then pick it up! I wish I had picked it up sooner!
