The Constant Rabbit by Jasper Fforde

3.0

I want to start by saying I am a huge Ffan of Jasper Fforde and am always eager for new releases. I started this book when it released, and between the audiobook and the physical book, I have finally finished it. Time simply wasn't on my side and that truly doesn't reflect on the work itself.

I enjoyed The Constant Rabbit. It's absurd yet striking because, while it does talk about anthropomorphic rabbits (the occasional fox, a few weasels, a stray elephant etc) it's a satire, and something Fforde is known to write. Via the use of rabbits, it touches on the hot topic of racism, and allows the reader to delve into their own views while reading a load of bonkers literature.

I liked it, and if you know me and my ranking system (I describe it sometimes on my instagram but have yet to outline here), three stars is actually a good rating from me. I enjoyed it and really feel like it touched on the dark undercurrents of modern society in a unique and palatable way.
