But despite growing up with these values, despite these rules having been ingrained in her mind since childhood, Beatrice Steele harbored a dark secret: She was obsessed with murder.
I was pleasantly surprised by this book.
Although romance is not the typical genre that I enjoy, I decided to give this a chance simply because of how much I liked the cover. The mystery is incredibly engrossing, which led me to choose reading over sleep for the first time in quite a while. I desperately had to know what happened next, and found myself struggling to guess at who the true culprit was.
I did predict a few things, and figured out the murderer at the same time as Beatrice, but I think that just made the book all the more enjoyable (just like how Beatrice enjoys following along with murder mysteries in the newspaper).
