Rereading this from childhood, I feel as though this was my first introduction to any kind of implied sexual content. I remember feeling like I needed to hide this (which was hard when I had the collective edition in a massive singular book) when my parents walked in the room, but didn’t understand why. Everyone wanted to fuck their robot companions and sexualize their innocence, sooooooo yeah. Not as exciting as I recall, but this is only the first volume so it probably got better with the continuing story; bummed I don’t have that collection copy anymore.
