Elantris by Brandon Sanderson
5.0
When I started this book I was convinced that the only satisfaction I will feel after reading it will be that I can finally star Mistborn with no regrets( I like reading an author's work in order ), but i found myself a new favorite!
The characters, the setting and the plot really kept me hooked till the end. I'm somewhat sad that i finished the story but also clad to see such talent i a first book!
A lot of people complain that Elantris is the weakest of them all, but if this is his lowest quality in books....man...can't wait to read everything else by him! >..>..I confess that this type of stories, with this passing and style are really my cup of tea so.. my enjoyment may be purely personal, but I tell you...this book that was published soo many years ago outclasses at least 80% of the rest.
I particularly want to point out that i cared for every character, even for the ones that did wrong, and i felt everyone's insecurities and pain.
It did not make me jump in joy or horror like other books every ten pages , but it sure hat it's moments, which felt more earned for me personally so, i can safely assume after some years , i will still remember and cherish this book, this city and their fate!
