Anne's House of Dreams by L.M. Montgomery
5.0
This is my favorite Anne book. I think I might even like it more than the first.
Why? Because...
...this book has Captain Jim. (Once you've met him, you'll know.)
...this book has *such* a beautiful love story (between two people we haven't met before).
...this book features two writers.
...this book shows us the beauty of adult friendship and the importance of community.
...this book has Miss Cornelia. And Marshall Elliot. And Leslie. And Owen.
...we meet Susan. (Yay!)
...Anne has to encounter dark, terrible sadness. (Yes, that's a good thing, I promise.) (Sad, but good.)
"Heretics are wicked, but they're mighty int'resting. It's jest that they've got sorter lost looking for God, being under the impression that He's hard to find - which He ain't never."
