🔮✨ Just finished Cinder and, while I enjoyed the unique blend of sci-fi and fairy tale, it didn’t fully live up to the hype for me. The futuristic world-building was creative, and the concept of a cyborg Cinderella was super intriguing. I also loved Cinder’s resourcefulness and her journey to uncover the truth about herself.
That said, the story felt a bit predictable at times, and I didn’t connect as much as I’d hoped. The romance with Prince Kai lacked depth, but maybe that will come in later books, and there were a couple of places where the pacing dragged a bit.
Still, a solid start to The Lunar Chronicles, and I’m keen to see where the series goes from here. If you like fairy-tale retelling with a sci-fi twist, it’s worth a read.
