How to Be Right: ... in a World Gone Wrong by James O'Brien
3.0
I picked up this book to read only the introduction and spent the entire day reading the whole thing. It’s a very engaging and genuinely interesting read. I pretty much devoured it and got my pen out after the first chapter to start highlighting. I really loved the talk-show incites and found myself laughing out loud at some points, O’Brien has a really easy-going writing style which I found very accesible. I will say that none of what was spoken about was particularly ‘groundbreaking’ as such but I more showing real life discussions and personal reflections which I really enjoyed. I also liked how self-aware he was when discussing topics such as feminism (he’s a man) or immigration (he’s white). I would recommend this as a starting point for people that are interested in political issues as it covers many topics but doesn’t go into complete in-depth chapters about them all.
