Turtles All the Way Down by John Green
5.0
I forget how good of an author John Green is until I read a book by him and I realize everything else I'd read up until that point has been comparably subpar. Obviously it's full of big-picture world views and largely quotable pieces of dialogue, but beyond all that it's a harrowing story of a girl living with OCD and trying to balance her own thoughts against literally everything else - the plot of the novel, the other characters, the setting. It's obvious John Green has had personal experience with the disorder and even as someone without OCD but, at times, low-functioning GAD, it's really poignant and impactful.
