Ash & Feather by S.M. Gaither

5.0

I loved Ash & Feather so much! SM Gaither is an insta-buy author for me, and it’s always worth it. Ash & Feather picks up right where Flame & Sparrow ended, and has us on the precipice of all-out war between the middle gods, elves, and humans, with Karys and Dravyn both having to face their pasts in their attempts to secure their world. Gaither offers such thorough world-building, with plenty of detail of how things look throughout the divine and mortal realms, as well as all the history that has lead to this point of conflict. Even though the overall situation is tense, and there are moments of grief and heartache, there are also many moments of humor, sass, tenderness, self-reflection, and badassery. The whole cast of characters is incredible, the villain is villain-ing, Dravyn offers all the swoon, and the tension is high. This was an excellent conclusion to Karys and Dravyn’s story! Highly recommend!
