I never really got the feel of Lord Jim. I was only reading a chapter at a time, not reading every night, and so I experienced it in a rather disjointed fashion. There is lots of great writing and there are lots of great ideas, but my need for fully formed characters was thwarted by the rather inscrutable protagonist. I liked it, but I don't feel inclined to work much harder to try to figure it out.
