The Wrath & the Dawn by Renée Ahdieh

"After all, every story has a story"
I didn't not expect to enjoy this so much since most retelling a arent that great for me, but this one really was wonderful.
I loved the explanation why the girls have to be killed, I loved how the finite book played out and even the ending was great and I can't wait to see how the next book is going to pick the story up and how that book is going to end.
The writing was beautiful, the characters where interesting and nicely developed. I loved that the story was kept true to where it was taking place and not "Americanized" by not using original Arabian words, or different foods, or anything like that but that the author really set the book where it has to take place to be a retelling of the origin for Arabian nights.
Great book, really recommend it especially if you ar like me not that taken with retelling a of fairytales!
I am off to read the second book right now!
