Jean Meltzer's books have a very special place in my heart and this one is no different. I loved so much about this bookâfrom the Jewish representation to the familial relationships, to the depictions of chronic illness and so many others. I really loved the family feud, who's baked goods are better vibe. It was fun and engaging and I was excited to hear both families sides of the story. This book was also incredibly emotional. Between Ethan's relationship with his grandfather and siblings and Avi's daily struggle with her pain, I definitely felt myself wanting to give these characters a hug. I really enjoyed how informative the story was too. There was a ton of information of cannabis as well as physical health, and sex and intimacy within Judaism. The side characters had wonderful personalities as well (there was a Chaya!) and the love story was just so well done. I read this book in a day and I couldn't put it down. Jean's stories are always so touching and heartfelt and I could ramble on forever about what books like this mean to me. Thank you to Jean for sending me an ARC of this beautiful magnificent book.
