How to Break Up with Your Phone by Catherine Price

3.5

Some of the research and decided in this book seems a little dubious. Studies with small amounts of people or a single outlier is described as predictive. The idea that phone compulsion is a problem pretty strong without that data. A lot of the suggestions seem good except for some of the tracking apps that are part of surveillance capitalism. Having a better relationship with my phone and being at the mercy of organizations trying to extract wealth for my existence is not a good trade off.

I’ve modified my phone use and it seems pretty good without those tracking apps.
