The Forgetting Moon by Brian Lee Durfee

3.0

The Forgetting Moon struggles with its Point of View. Technically everything should be fine, The character voices are varied, the situations are interesting enough. But I could not for the life of me care about a couple of characters.

I found everything to do with Nail and Ava Shay to be incredibly compelling, during these chapters I couldn't put the book down. It was some of the most engaging content I read all of last year. Im counterpoint, Tala Bronachell is so boring, and I don't know why. I could not care less about her. And it makes no sense, as the situations she is in our interesting, but I found her to be a wet pancake of a character.
Jomdralyn is another character I take umbridge with, and she's not a dumb person, but she makes dumb decisions, at no fault of her own. People just don't tell her what she's doing is dumb, when they all know.

Anyways this a 3 star book, equal part 5 and 1 star.
