Reading this was so stressful. Poor Maggie and Kitty :(
Maggie is a true-crime podcaster. Her recent episodes have not received much attention, so when she discovers a case about a house in which a child was murdered, she is confident that talking about the case will make her go viral. Unfortunately the case triggers a manic episode, and she makes the impulsive decision to buy the house.
Ruth Anna Evans is skilled at hooking the reader in, and I'd highly recommend this to anyone who wants a short, creepy and fast-paced novella.
