I actually wanted to DNF this book, but unfortunately I'm not someone who can do that. I really wanted to like it since my dad recommended it to me, but I just couldn't.

The positives:
-I liked Lessa (for a few chapters...)
-Dragons
-???

The negatives:
-The relationship between Lessa and F'lar went 0 to 100 out of nowhere
-Half their sex was just rape, even admitted by F'lar himself, and then even after, Lessa's consent is very dubious considering he physically and verbally assaults her on the regular
-Lessa went from 'Ruatha is rightfully mine and it's all I want!' to 'wow dragons' way too quickly for how long she'd had her original plan
-THE DAMN NAMES
-Time travel??? I guess it kind of made logical sense- if they can travel between places, time travel is the next step- but it just didn't feel right
