The Complete Maus: A Survivor's Tale by Art Spiegelman
4.0
Wow. I’m teary eyed at the end of this book. I’m so thankful this books was written and that I live in a place I can get it from my public library (aka a place it’s not banned). This was a harrowing story. All the main characters were incredibly realistic; one moment likable, the next not. The fact that it is a graphic novel does not take away from the meaning of the story like most people would probably think. Plus the symbolism of the animals perfectly illustrated the intense separation between countries throughout the whole war and still after the war.
