very interesting concept — taking bible verses and reimagining them to be explicitly queer — which i found to be both familiar and unique but wished that it almost took itself more seriously? lots of heart and humour for sure but also a little corny and kinda reminiscent of instapoetry :/ 

nevertheless, i am still gay and catholic so this did strike a chord with me lol my favourites were deuteronomy 32:18 & john 6:38, act of pride, matthew 25:2 (not a lily among brambles!), matthew 25:40, john 3:1–21, song of shulamit, romans 1:26–27, romans 1:26–27 & ruth 1:16, and joy to the world!! +from the acknowledgements "i would endure catholic school all over again to find you" that is so me to my friends <3 and the lucy dacus vbs shoutout <3
