Brokeback Mountain is the tragic story of two men who can't stay away from each other, but can't afford to stay together. It is surprisingly short for how long it took me to read it, it manages to pack a lot of emotion into 55 pages. Annie Proulx's writing is unique and you might struggle reading it at first until you get used to it. This is a rare case of me preferring the movie over the book of something, but not for anything the book lacked. The movie is just a must watch, incredible. It adds scenes and delves deeper into scenes that were brief.
