This was such a fun read. I thoroughly enjoyed every part of it.

Zack was an interesting character with his own motivations and wants, that lead to some really fun moments when they didn't like up with the motivations of his friends. It came back a lot in the story that Zack wouldn't fully understand what was happening or disagree with what was up and as a reader I often felt the same. This then made for very lovely revelations and explanations where a lot of things would become clear to us as a reader.

I also very much enjoyed how much of Chinese history was woven into the story. I'll honestly admit that before this book I knew about nothing about that topic and it was a lot of fun to encounter so many historical figures in this book. When one would pop up I would sometimes open up wikipedia to read some more about whoever entered the story giving me even more context and making it an even better read.

The conclusion of the story was also really fun and made me sit on the edge of my seat, totally engrossed into the book wanting to know what would happen next.
Excited to see where this story continues.
