Love On The Brain by Ali Hazelwood
Five stars.
Let's be honest, I knew this was a five star before I even began reading. Ali Hazelwood's writing is so much fun to read. I read this one slower than my average because I wanted to enjoy and savor it as long as possible.
Women in STEM amaze me. Everything they do is perfection. You can't change my mind. Bee had so much personality and I enjoyed reading her internal dialogue and life theories. Bee's interest in Marie Curie had me googling and learning more about her as well.
I love all things brain related. At a mention of the brain- you have my undivided attention. I will admit that my neuromuscular disease began the fascination which is how I already knew this was going to be a five star read--for me.
This book has been either criticized or appraised for it's similarities to The Love Hypothesis. I loved The Love Hypothesis but I loved this one a teensy tiny bit more. However, the similarities are great. I already knew that expectation going into it. I like Bee better than Olive in my opinion she just gives us more. BUT I liked Dr. Adam Carlsen better than Levi. I can't say why though (Adam Driver.) Bottom line is if you didn't love The Love Hypothesis you may not love Love On The Brain. Sorry. I didn't make the rules.
I want to end begging, on my knees. I am asking for more women in STEM recommendations. PLEASE.
