I was pretty in love with this book at the beginning: The characters, the atmosphere, the writing itself, it started great. Andrew is compelling (Though if he hadn't had his odd relationship with Eddie, would he have been anything special?), I adore Riley, Sam's... Well, Sam's just okay. Then we hit the climax and it all seemed to fall through. It felt so rushed! This book might just be the biggest disappointment of the year for me, as I was really looking forward to it. Shame, that. Still, it was pretty cool to have a canon trans character and canon poly characters, so that's something! 

2024 UPDATE: Spooky season's got me wanting to give this one a second chance, but that was a mistake, as I like it even less than the first time. Like, knowing that the writer is a big Raven Cycle fan changes everything, and it just feels like a weird TRC AU fic now. It's a shame, because the writing is nice! It's keeping its three star rating rather than dropping to two just because I like the writing.
