Endurance: A Year in Space, a Lifetime of Discovery by Scott Kelly
4.0
I really enjoyed this and learned a lot of little facts about space travel. Did you know space has a smell? About half of the book is about Scott Kelly's time on the Internation Space Station and the other half is about his life and how he came to be an astronaut. I found his life was just as bit as fascinating as his time in space. This was not someone who always wanted to be an astronaut since he was a child, he was not scientifically inclined from a young age, instead he worked hard took some risks and didn't refuse opportunities when they arose. He also talks about the isolation he felt on the ISS not only from his loved ones, but from earth itself; water and gravity and all the things we tend to take for granted. A fun read, but now I keep thinking about how there is a capsule with a gorilla suit floating around in space somewhere...
