I think this book is what most adults would regard as a hot mess, but kids love. It's pretty weird with a lot of confusing action, and I wasn't sure where he was going with it until the end. It is unique and interesting and if nothing else, it will get kids to question, what is good and what is evil? I'd recommend this one for 5th-7th grade girls who like fairy tale retellings/fractured fairytales.
