Super fun read. It reminded me a bit of Dresden Files minus the misogyny.
The worldbuilding was done through the mostly stream-of-conscious narration, and was occasionally a little overwrought, like an over-thinker doing her overthinking. This resonated with me but would probably not work for everyone.
It did read a little like the first book in a series.
But I can accept the ending as a series ending without much effort.
