A Change Of Heart at the Vintage Dress Shop by Annie Darling

lighthearted relaxing slow-paced

1.75

A very meh book.
Very slow with lots of descriptions of fabrics and types of dresses.
Nothing much happens in the first hour of the audiobook, makes it a bit boring. The main character Cress starts out as a people pleaser. Things only start to happen around chapter 6 which is about 2 hours in the audiobook.A very slow boring start.

There is quite a bit of dress history and many different types of fabrics and types of dresses which would be great for a nerd but otherwise other people who are not familiar might find it annoying to have to look things up repeatedly.
There's a stupid fight and the picnic which was supposed to be a lovely moment is ruined by the author, no idea why.The main character keeps ruminating about her ex and the sadness of the breakup which got annoying. The personal development came on suddenly which made it unrealistic.

I'm a fan of the podcast nothing much happens, but this book for the first 2/3 of it nothing much to am extreme happens, made it very boring in those parts,it does get a bit better. Not a book I'd read twice.
The end felt unfinished, we don't really know what happens with her dreams of having her own business.
