To Ravish a Rogue by C.M. Nascosta

adventurous emotional fast-paced
  • Plot- or character-driven? Plot

This isn't quite what I had hoped for--the FMC, Charlotte, spends so much time dithering about whether to employ her immense powers that could definitely save her from any dangerous situation (without revealing what those powers are) that I got impatient with any kind of physical danger she ended up in. Because it's not really a big deal to be in physical danger when you can get yourself out of it at any time, is it?

That being said, I respect what Nascosta was doing--calling back to a romance novel from 1990 while updating it in her own way. I loved how the LI started to realize how dangerous Charlotte could be and was like YES MORE PLEASE. And it was a very quick, mostly lighthearted read.
