A quick, easy book to read. Not much complexity, and the writing style tended to short and simple sentences and words. But I suppose I can’t knock it too much for that, as it’s targeted at a different demographic than me.

Nonetheless, I enjoyed the story and Kel’s journey, and am interested enough to continue with the series. I liked Kel a lot, and her stubbornness and maintenance of an emotionless, serious facade as she was trained to, as well as her difficulty in doing so in the face of huge emotions. Hopefully more of the other pages will be expanded on - right now they are largely interchangeable to me (except Neal, who’s great, and Joren, the designated bully).
