I try not to read books by white men but unfortunately Jeff really snapped here and I immediately purchased the other books in the series. My one complaint, and it isn’t a small one, is that I don’t think he knows how women think. It was fine, but none of what the biologist said/thought made me think yeah, this is a woman. I did like that she was very unreliable though. Good stuff.
