If you want a book as a gateway into True Crime them this is the book to read. Michelle is such a strong character in her own right and this comes across in her writing. You can feel her hate towards the Golden State Killer and the pain he caused his victims.

I loved how she interweaves her past into the Golden State Killer and explains how she go interested in crime and solving it.

It's such a shame that she wasn't here to watch this monster be arrested and face his punishment for his crimes
