The Rumour is a tale of suspicion, paranoia and guilt. It has a fast-paced plot that will keep you guessing to the end. When Joanna hears a rumour at the school gates, she passes it on. The rumour? A notorious child killer has been released with a new identity and could be living in her town. I loved the premise of this novel as it is relevant to what happens in the media. How lives can be ruined. Good read. 3 stars
