This isn't the best book that anyone is going to read but it was a very pleasant viking time travel romance.
With low expectations I would wholeheartedly recommend it.

It's strange to say but I really enjoyed the flashbacks at the beginning and her backstory. Sadly I found the last past in 2017 way too long and she was unhinged (not my favourite with all the drama) but I understand why the author wrote it that way.

In general I liked the fmc, even though I felt like her personalities in 2017 an the 9th century were a bit different. Nonetheless I truly enjoyed her as a child, a collage student and a captive). In the past she was both daring (stan ing up for herself and others) and submissive (accepting being a slave and the society)
The hero, even though he was sometimes a bit rough during sex, was way too sweet, adoring and consent mindful for being a viking.
This book read like a very well written self insert fanfiction. Very enjoyable but not super realistic in terms of how well went the relationship (whose basis was mainly the sexual part). Nonetheless I appreciated how the costumes/ways of living of the mast were portraited.

So an imperfect book but still a good one.
