I Hope This Finds You Well by Natalie Sue

3.75

The premise of this read hooked me immediately, the idea of being able to view your colleagues emails and DM's within the company was thrilling, especially as the character was under scrutiny for their own misconduct.

Here's what I liked:
- The office setting, the idea of how much of your life you spend within the four walls and the others who occupy it with you. The supporting characters were very vivid and realistic as were the problems they faced working in the space together.
-The character development and the relationships created with those around her. There was a strong message of identity, impact of trauma and how you never really know what is going on in someone else's life. I liked learning more about her Persian heritage too.
-How entangled the character got in the web of lies. It was like a train wreck that you couldn't look away from.
-Clever title and the double meaning within.

Here's what I didn't:
-The pace. It was likely slowly moving to the top of a rollercoaster and at times the story tended to drag.
-The relationship with her teen neighbor, I felt that it was resolved effectively and maybe needed a conversation between Jolene and her mother.

I borrowed my copy from my local library.
