The Paris Wife by Paula McLain

4.0

Such a romantic bohemian storybook life, right up until it continues down that path to bittersweet ends. I could very much see myself making all the same choices as a Missouri girl, swept away with the idea of Europe. I just got here a little later and stabler, attached to a Hemingway fan instead of the man himself. Even on this side of the pond, Paris still holds intrigue and possibilities of a dizzy, carefree life, but Hadley’s misty existence could only hold together so long.

Written with just the right amount of nod to Hemingway’s own style and background of his experiences and process.
