So, let me jump right in like the book did…
Although chapter 1 was an immediate jump into the story, it somehow paused for 200 pages before packing the rest with action. The storyline was fantastic, I’m just not so sure about the execution.
Somehow the book felt both fast-pased and slow-pased at the same time? I felt like this book didn’t need to be 400+ pages.. That’s not to say that I didn’t enjoy this book. In all honesty, I couldn’t put it down for the last 200 pages, however in my opinion the book was only just above average in the end.
Despite the excitinglegal battles between the 2 couples , I unfortunately didn’t care for the ending. Reading about Maddie’s character, I didn’t feel like psychopathy fit or was well-described in her, like it was with Miles. I also don’t think he needed to die. It seems like the easy way out, as if Delaney didn’t know what to do with him towards the end.
