The Manicurist's Daughter by Susan Lieu
2.0
After reading a review that recommended the audio version, which is read by the author, I was excited to try out the audiobook format for basically the first time. I loved hearing the spoken Vietnamese throughout, and Lieu is a very expressive reader. But after dragging myself through exactly half of the recording, I can't bring myself to go on. I just don't care that much. I think probably it's no fault of the book's, as I usually love this genre. Maybe I'm just not an audiobook reader. But on the other hand, I'm not rushing to put the ebook on hold so I can finish it, either.
