Fake Dates and Mooncakes is a book that I DNFd at first a few months back. I can't remember why, but starting it again I was nervous that I'd DNF it for good, but it was read all in one sitting and something I genuinely enjoyed. I thought both characters were good, though cringe at times. I love a fake dating trope, but I think they're only fake dating because one was a coward and the other oblivious. I loved the aspect of culture and family and how it stayed incorporated in the entire book. I'm not sure what could've made it better to be a 5 star book for me, it was better than 3 stars but not quite four
